At Brisbanes Finest Floors, we recently had the pleasure of transforming a beautiful Radiata pine timber floor with a sleek and subtle satin water-based coating. Known for its warm, natural grain and soft honey tones, Radiata pine is a popular choice in Queensland homes, particularly for its light and airy appearance once sanded and sealed.
This particular job was completed in a Brisbane suburb where the homeowner wanted to refresh their older pine floors without dramatically changing the character of the timber. After a full timber floor sanding and coating process, we applied a premium water-based satin finish (giving it a lighter look), which brought out the natural beauty of the wood while adding a soft sheen that’s easy to maintain and pleasing to the eye.
